In memory of Garrison Scott

Garrison graduated from the NY State Ranger School at Syracuse University College of Forestry. He served in the US Army from 1965 – 1967.

After photographing the historic stone walls of lower NY and PA, he took a nighttime masonry class in 1977, which eventually evolved into his lifelong passion for Sticks & Stones.

Garrison built many homes and buildings and was a licensed General Contractor in NC specializing in masonry hardscapes. He was also a registered land surveyor in 6 states, including the Carolinas, but his passion was masonry and all things outdoors.

Garrison was intimately involved in every project and shared the same passion with his son, with whom he has worked alongside over a decade.

He took great pride in his work and carefully oversaw every one of his jobs personally. He now leaves his son Russell to carry on this tradition.

“My dad is one of the most influential role models, and I embrace the opportunity to extend his legacy.”
